Introducing Stored Rewards

(June 19, 2021)

Tonight marks the second night we are running the new stored rewards system. This system now stores your rewards with DogecoinFah until they add up to a whole Dogecoin and you are able to be paid. This allows us to reward many more folders, despite transaction limitations, low donation amounts, and a very large amount of participating folders. This doesn't fix all our problems, but it marks the beginning of making things better. Still, not all folders will be rewarded or paid.

Generally, I'm now calling a "reward" an amount of Doge a folder is given, but remains stored on the DogecoinFah system until enough is made to payout. And a "payout" is rewards actually sent to the folder on the Dogecoin network. I will try to move towards using this terminology more consistently.

The Reward History page now shows stored, but unpaid, reward values in parenthesis and payout values without. Added to the top of the Reward History page is now a box that allow you to lookup your folding username (Dogecoin address). It will show your stored balance and a summary of your recent rewards and payouts.

Please be patient as the new reward system may run into some bumps. It is being monitored closely and is still being improved and tested behind the scenes. Also, the new Reward History features aren't well labeled, worded, or documented, yet.

I expect to turn back on the Guard Doge contribution after tonight's payout, barring any reason not to. I will set it at 0.02 DOGE each for every active folder. If it gets abused, by users spinning up many low points folders, we may have to turn it back off or even cancel the contribution. We'll see how it goes.

The specifics for the reward system are currently as follows. These maybe be adjusted at some point.
